March 20th, 2009 Fox Sports Pittsburgh/ NHL Centre Ice Hockey and High Heels Columnist, Jan Snyder, and her Hockey Themed Wedding stories were featured during the Pittsburgh Penguins/ LA Kings game. October 31st, 2007 LA Kings.com The Hockey and High Heels event was a hit with the women in attendance at Staples Center on Saturday October 27th, 2007.
The event was an all day affair with tours, a skating clinic, speeches from Lisa Ovens, Luc Robitaille and an LA Kings chalk talk with former King and current radio commentator, Daryl Evans. January 2007 Vancouver, Canada Hockey Art Show at Havana Restaurant. Lisa will have two of her hockey art photographs from Mesh Galleria up for auction at Havana’s Art Gallery Fundraiser benefiting Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. February 2006 Everett, Washington, USA Lisa attends The WHL’s Everett Silvertips Hockey and Heels event. For women only, the evening offered a casual and non-intimidating environment for female Silvertips fans to learn more about the game. Every woman in attendance received a copy of Hockey & High Heels which Lisa signed after the lecture. “What a success. A big cheer for Devon Wold and Mary Brown of the Everett Silvertips! November 22nd, 2005 The Hockey News publishes it's annual Hockey Book Guide in time for the Holiday season. This year's edition showcases plenty of new hockey books, with their descriptions listed in sections that include 'Hardcover', 'New Paperback', 'Children' and 'Poetry'. Hockey & High Heels is the lone entry under the 'Women' section. "That section will be bigger next year, I guarantee!" says Lisa.
October 17th 2005 The ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays hockey team announce a brand new promotion: Ladies Night Out! The package includes a hockey 101 class with a Stingrays coach; massage treatments, mini facials, food, beverage, a ticket to the evening's game and the opportunity to purchase a copy of Hockey and High Heels by Lisa Ovens. May 11th 2005 No Playoffs? What's a girl to do? Lisa Ovens decides to add a little sparkle to what is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year by launching her book, Hockey and High Heels at Fireside Books in Vancouver. Vancouver Mayor, Larry Campbell was among the many guests who relaxed in an authentic seat from the fabled Forum in Montreal as Lisa signed their copies of Hockey and High Heels.
